RTC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. RTC provides employment and vocational services to people with disabilities as well as public transportation services that serve Logan and surrounding counties. We specialize in helping individuals with disabilities. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to add to our Finance team.
Job Summary:
This position reports to the Controller. Performs a variety of accounting duties according to established policies and procedures. Produces and analyzes monthly financial statements. Reconciles general ledger accounts, prepares and records journal entries, analyzes budget and prior period variances, assists with audits, ODOT reporting, procurements, USOA accounting and completes ad-hoc projects as assigned at a senior level work product.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Possess a good understanding of US GAAP
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent judgment and decision-making capability
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Experience in several of the following areas - non-profit fiscal management, accounting, finance, grant management, ODOT accounting practices, Government Procurements, USOA Accounting, Process Improvement
- Strong capacity to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing priorities and needs
- Advanced Excel skills
Primary Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Valid driver's license required
- Must pass criminal background check and drug screen
