We are searching for an IT Analyst to serve as a clinical liaison between hospital departments and information technology departments. The position is responsible for the analysis and support of clinical information systems to enhance the delivery of patient care, as well as ensuring that electronic health records (EHR) systems are operating according to needs and support clinical processes and workflows.

Responsibilities


  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, IT personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure the EHR system meets the clinical needs of the healthcare institution.
  • Participate in the implementation and ongoing maintenance, improvement, and optimization of clinical information systems and applications.
  • Manage the EHR and other clinical software to meet the specific needs of the healthcare institution, including creating templates, order sets, and clinical decision support tools.
  • Provide training and support to clinical staff in the use of the EHR and other clinical applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to clinical software applications, working with IT support teams as needed.
  • Participate in quality assurance and testing of clinical systems before implementation to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety, regulatory compliance, and the achievement of healthcare outcomes.
  • Provide regular updates to the HIT Director about the status of information system projects and ongoing support activities.
Qualifications


  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Information Technology with a focus on healthcare, or related field
  • Clinical experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of EHR systems and clinical informatics principles.
  • Proficiency in healthcare data standards such as HL7, ICD10, CPT.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards related to electronic health records and patient privacy.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for client visits.
