Canteen Nutritionist

Requirements:

· High school diploma/GED preferred

· Minimum 21 years of age

· Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment

· Knowledge of food service regulations

· Able to stay on your feet for an extended period of time and lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

· Excellent written and verbal skills

· Willing to work a flexible schedule

Canteen must be able to:

· Provide attention to detail.

· Ability to multitask.

· Basic math skills

· Clear verbal communication.

· Conflict resolution.

· Customer service experience.

· Positive attitude

· Attend health regulation trainings and staff meetings

Examples of Food Server responsibilities

· Count children as they enter canteen area

· Serve children while wearing hair net and gloves

· Deep clean canteen area

· Have a working drivers license to retrieve food from separate location

· Basic computer skills to order food

· Enjoy working around children

· Provide basic cooking classes to children ages 6-18

· Greet members warmly and direct them to their tables

Canteen Assistant is needed Monday through Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm during the school year and 8 hours a day during summer and other peek seasons
