Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:As an RN in the Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. You will be responsible for assessing patients, administering medications, and assisting the healthcare team during procedures. Your attention to detail and ability to think critically will be essential in ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing patients' conditions before, during, and after procedures
  • Administering medications and monitoring patients' vital signs
  • Assisting physicians during cardiac catheterizations and other procedures
  • Operating complex medical equipment and ensuring its proper function
  • Documenting patients' medical history and treatment plans
  • Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Maintaining a sterile and safe environment in the Cath Lab
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to regulatory standards
  • Remaining knowledgeable about current practices and advancements in cardiac care
Required Qualifications:
  • Active RN license in the state of employment
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Ability to think critically and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures
  • Understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and common cardiac procedures
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting medical equipment
  • Compliance with professional standards and ethical principles
