Position: Asphalt Screed Man

Responsibilities:

• Screed Operation: Operate and control the asphalt paver screed side, ensuring the proper distribution and leveling of asphalt during paving operations.
• Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of asphalt placement, making adjustments to the screed as needed to meet project specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the paving crew, equipment operators, and other team members to ensure efficient and precise asphalt paving.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on the screed and associated equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues related to the asphalt screed, making adjustments to optimize performance.
• Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety within the team, and participating in regular safety meetings.

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience as an Asphalt Screed Man.
• Skills: Proficient in operating and maintaining asphalt screed equipment.
• Knowledge: Understanding of asphalt paving processes, specifications, and quality standards.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse construction team.
• Safety Conscious: Commitment to prioritizing safety and adhering to industry safety regulations.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varying hours and weekends, as required by project demands.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials.
  • Ability to shovel and rake.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Good physical stamina and agility.
