We seek a skilled CNC Operator to join our team on the 3rd shift at our granite company. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision granite components according to specifications. The ideal candidate should have experience working with CNC machinery, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently during the 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up and operate CNC machinery to perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, polishing, and shaping granite materials.
  2. Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.
  3. Load granite materials into the CNC machine and adjust machine settings to ensure proper operation.
  4. Monitor the CNC machine during operation to detect any issues or malfunctions.
  5. Conduct quality inspections of finished products to meet required specifications and quality standards.
  6. Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve fundamental mechanical problems that may arise during the production process.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organized work area ensures a safe and efficient working environment.
  9. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and injuries.
  10. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  2. Proven experience working as a CNC Operator or in a similar role.
  3. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  4. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and efficiently during the 3rd shift hours.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
  7. Basic math skills and the ability to accurately measure and inspect parts.
  8. Knowledge of CNC machinery operation and maintenance.
  9. Ability to lift and move heavy granite materials as needed.
  10. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Vocational training or certification in CNC machining or related fields.
  2. Prior experience working with granite or other stone materials.
  3. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines.
  4. Experience using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
