Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Clerk (Office)

Work Schedule: 8:30am-5pm, M-F

Location: Barrington, NJ

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Shipping and Receiving Clerk to handle incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have experience with purchase orders, invoices, bill of ladings, and manifests. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders or invoices
• Sort, label, and store received items in designated storage areas
• Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other shipping documentation as needed
• Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule pickups and deliveries
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with periodic inventory counts
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding shipping, receiving, and inventory management

Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) Required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
• Familiarity with shipping software and systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS) is a plus
• Experience with MS office (excel) and labeling machines
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
