We are trying to find Media Designer to join our Marketing team. You will report to the Communications Manager and be responsible for promoting Blum products and services to our sales team, kitchen & bath designers, Blum customers and the general public by creating literature and marketing materials.
Job Responsibilities
- Create, design and develop graphics and other materials for trade shows, events, customer activities, etc.
- Works collaboratively with marketing associates to produce marketing materials as requested
- Manage projects from concept to print
- Organize, maintain and archive hard copy material and electronic files according to department procedures
- Conduct editing and consistency checks for style and formatting accuracy
- Create and maintain internal branding and marketing materials
- Maintain productive relationships with all printer and vendor suppliers
- Possess the ability to adjust between technical and creative projects as required
- Technical – Experience using Adobe Creative Suite software with proficiency in InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
- Technical – Proficient in Microsoft applications and strong computer skills
- Trustworthy – Experience working with proprietary materials a plus
- Time Management – Strong organizational and time management skills and an ability to establish priorities
- Openness – Enjoy learning the various technical specifications of a diverse product offering
- Openness – Ability and willingness to learn new software

Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years prior experience as Graphic Designer producing company specific technical catalogs, brochures, leaflets, and/or product bulletins is required
- Kitchen design experience a plus
- Prior experience working in the kitchen cabinet industry and associated markets is helpful
- Design – knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools, and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical drawings
- Computers – knowledge of computer hardware and software applications including Adobe: InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective verbal & written communication skills
- Taking a systematic approach to solving problems by analyzing all relevant facts/issues before determining the root cause
- Establish & maintain collaborative partnerships with individuals at all levels of the organization as well as key customers that support the business
- Ability to teach in a classroom or workshop environment
- Meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy & attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft applications & ability to learn new software quickly
- Inspecting & evaluating the quality of work produced
- Strong organizational & time management skills & an ability to establish priorities
