Girls Varsity Golf Head Coach

Community School of Naples (CSN), an independent, college preparatory school in Southwest Florida, is seeking a motivated and talented Golf Head Coach for our Girls Varsity team. CSN offers a comprehensive athletic program for students in Middle and Upper School. We are a member of the Florida High School Athletic Association and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference.

The Head Coach position for Girls Varsity Golf will aid with the athletic programs to ensure that the student-athletes participate in a safe and positive atmosphere. The Coach will be charged with the overall responsibilities of the Girls Golf program to include supervising, training, Middle School and JV development while directing and assisting with all of the program’s athletic events. This position will be a Fall season stipend position with CSN; it is not a full-time salaried position. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletic Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Collaboration with CSN faculty, student body, other coaches, and AD staff to enhance the cohesive commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes.
• Make sure all proper FHSAA paperwork is submitted before students participate in athletic practices or contests. Make sure they are concussion baselined with Trainer.
• Design skill developing practices while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
• Monitor and support the academic progress of student-athletes within your program.
• Coordinate Transportation needs for away contests (when required).
• Update the athletic pages in Blackbaud/Maxpreps in coordination with the AD staff.
• Direct the organization of practice schedules and coordinate facility usage.
• Secure home golf course for team practices and home matches/tournaments.
• Any other duties assigned by the Director of Athletic Operations.

Requirements:

• Understanding of the FHSAA and NFHS rules and regulations.
• Leadership skills to supervise and run a program.
• Certified coach per NFHS Florida guidelines (Concussion, Heat Illness, Cardiac Arrest).
• First Aid & Safety course certification.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
