JOB SUMMARY / DESCRIPTION

The Director of Procurement is responsible for leading the procuring of all direct and indirect materials and services for ECRS operations. This position selects suppliers, negotiates terms and prices and works closely with the Inventory Manager and Deployment Manager to ensure the materials needed are procured and available to support the required factory outputs and customer demand. The Director of Procurement leads efforts to optimize supplier strategies to maximize profitability for the company. This position requires experience in director-level leadership and ability to autonomously direct all procurement for the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops, maintains, and follows processes and procedures for materials procurement.
• Works with operations to determine optimal purchase quantities to support factory output and demand.
• Leads supplier selection process, negotiations, supplier development and supplier relationship management.
• Develops sourcing strategies to optimize profitability.
• Provides leadership for material cost reduction initiatives across the company.
• Accountable for direct and indirect material cost changes.
• Responsible for measuring and monitoring material costs.
• Responsible for new part creation as needed for procurement.
• Provides leadership and development for the Procurement Analyst.

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS/BA in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or 5 years relevant experience.
• 5-8 years of experience in directing procurement and leading direct reports.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Working knowledge of ERP software.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
