As a foundational provider of general, specialty dental services, and Sleep Medicine/Airway Disorder treatments, Babylon Dental Care is recognized for its commitment to excellence, compassion, and unmatched patient care. We are currently seeking a Sleep Medicine Assistant to infuse new energy into our Sleep Department. Our Great South Bay location in West Babylon, NY and Gateway Plaza location in Patchogue, NY are welcoming and warm environments, intentionally designed to promote collaboration and foster creativity. The intention of this roll is develop our team members into a greater form of service within Babylon Dental Care and or our Sleep Department.

Training We will train you to become a great Sleep Medicine Assistant and our (very unique) Global Training program allows you to see how/what all departments do to support you in your role. We encourage you to learn, grow and reach your full potential in this role or in developing into a greater form of service within our organization.

We give plenty of support and were with you every step of the way You start our BDC journey with a 15 day Global Training and your own Ambassador to walk you thru it all. Our intention during the beginning days is to introduce you to BDC's entire service and give you customized and individualized specific training needed to master your roll as Sleep Medicine Assistant.

Our Sleep department is very busy and growing quickly so we need someone who is:
  • Upbeat, energetic, and an overall friendly personality.
  • Comfortable speaking with patients about their potential care or Sleep Medicine needs. Active listening skills and self awareness is key component to this communication.
  • Reliable and team orientated.
  • Empathetic and compassionate.
  • High level of professional presence.
  • Ability to multi-task in a face paced environment.
  • Open to learn all about Sleep Medicine to support not only your success in the role, but help your potential patients in care.
  • Self motivated, takes initiative without constant direction.
  • Calm under pressure.
We expect you to be personally responsible for being on-time and present for every shift you work and always willing to go the extra mile for our patients

If you have dental assistant experience, great We ask for one to three years in the medical or dental assisting fields or one to three years in a medical or dental Practice.

Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) would be helpful in setting you up for success, but not mandatory. Ability to be open to learn such software. Also would be helpful if you have digital scanning experience, but also not mandatory, we are happy to train.
