Job DescriptionJob DescriptionGeotemps, Inc. is seeking a Core cutter. This position is located outside of Juneau, AK on a surface gold mining operation. The successful candidates will work twelve (12) hours per day, fourteen (14) days on / fourteen (14) days off. Position will be located at the camp during shift rotation.
Responsibilities:· Adhere to all safety standards and requirements· Follow the core sawing requirements for exploration drill holes, as directed by supervisor.· Proper cutting, bagging, and dispatching of core samples from site.· Prepare and maintain records of assay lab submittal sheets and shipment transfer records.· Help with sample storage efforts.Qualification/Education Requirements:· Ability to work safely and promote safe behavior in others.· High school diploma or equivalent.· Computer literate (Excel, Word, Outlook).· Ability to work in a variety of conditions, e.g. sun, rain, wind, snow.· Ability to lift 60 – 70 lbs. repeatedly.· Ability to stand for long periods of time.· Excellent organizational and communication skills. Highly attentive to detail.· Comfortable operating heavy equipment (forklifts, skid steer) and light vehicles (pickup truck, flatbed).· Ability to work in multiple-task environment and work with supervisor to properly assign priorities.· Ability to get along with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, flexible and able co-exist in remote camp setting.· Experience with acQuire Database is helpful but not essential.· Other duties as assigned.· Sets high standards for self and others, builds trust, and takes accountability.
