MCHC Health Centers is seeking a dynamic and experienced LVN Supervisor to lead our nursing team in Ukiah, CA. As the LVN Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team comprising 15 to 20 Medical Assistants and LVNs. This team provides crucial nursing support to 3 to 4 medical providers specializing in primary care, which includes internal medicine, family medicine, and pediatrics.

Duties Include:

  • Responsible for the direct supervision, support, and discipline of assigned staff.
  • Facilitates weekly Nurse Huddle trainings, providing educational material and training.
  • Successfully completes the Core Competency trainings offered by MCHC with a pass rate of 80% and completes all trainings required of you, within the timeframe given.
  • Oversight of day to day operations of assigned area. Communicating all concerns and issues to Director of Nursing
  • Performs administrative duties including creating schedules, maintaining adequate supplies, and informing staff of changes to protocol.
  • Provides patient education as appropriate under the direction of the medical provider and age specific.
  • Functions as the buffer between providers and nursing staff, provides effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Ensures all Incident Reports are completed for reportable events and sent timely to Risk Management. Identifies need for training, feedback to staff, and reports findings to the MCHC Incident Tracker tool.

Requirements:

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Valid State of California Certificate of Registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification: Required

Education:

  • Satisfactory completion of a prescribed course of instruction in intravenous therapy, approved by the California State Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technician Examiners. (Required)

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience working as an LVN, in an outpatient setting
  • 2 or more years' experience within an FQHC
  • ACLS Certification
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish, Fluent

* The sign on bonus is broken up into two payments; $500 upon hire and in additional $500 upon successful completion six months of employment.
