SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The Heartland Housing Sanctuary program provides several different services to survivors of human trafficking and sexual exploitation. The programs services include crisis stabilization shelter, mobile advocacy, and both Transitional and Rapid Re-Housing services. The program provides a trauma informed low barrier approach to ensure clients are have the greatest chance at success.
This position will provide direct support to survivors and oversight of many administrative and program related duties pertaining to the Program. The Trafficking Intake and Program Support Specialist will be the initial point of contact for clients, community members, and contractors. They will screen potential clients, complete intake paperwork, assist with data entry into the Electronic Health Record system, perform reception duties, and complete other related duties when deemed necessary. This position is a crucial part of the program having great attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and excellent interpersonal skills are strongly preferred.
Compensation starts at $19.74, wage is increased based on total years of relevant experience.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 6:00pm (between 37.5 and 40 hours per week)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or Human Service field and two years direct care experience in Human Services preferred; OR equivalent employment experience may be considered
- Bilingual – Spanish speaking abilities (preferred)
- Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- *Demonstrates advanced crisis intervention skills while working with a diverse clientele.
- * Performs reception duties, accurately takes messages and gives appropriate directions to clients and general public; assists all visitors, clients, and staff in processing their inquiries.
- *Provides information to staff as needed related to client interactions to assist with discharge planning and implementation.
- *Assists with inventorying of program and office supplies as needed.
- *Duplication and collation of program materials.
- *Assists with file management as needed.
- *Supports shelter staff and oversight of main shelter office ensuring that adequate support is provided.
- *Completes screening and intake processes for clients.
- *Performs data entry and uploading documents into the Electronic Health Record.
- *Provides problem solving and crisis intervention to client callers and assist clients with their transition into shelter, to include shelter room readiness as needed.
- *Assists therapeutic clients with pre-screening paperwork.
- *Assists with maintaining program calendars, databases, and file cabinet organization.
- *Informs supervisor of any developing patterns concerning Sanctuary House program.
- *Is dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
- *Conducts weekly program house meeting to include other program related meetings as assigned.
- Maintains organized common areas of facility.
- Assists with monitoring client medication during medication times.
- Receives and distributes incoming program/ client mail and prepares outgoing mail.
- Displays a courteous and caring attitude at all times to the clientele, volunteers, and visitors of the Program.
- Cooperates and collaborates with agency and collateral staff.
- Abides by all specific program and Agency procedures, policies, and requirements.
- Develops personal and program related skills through participation in internal and external training opportunities including printed material and audio and/or visual media.
- *Creates, maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
- *Strives to make connections between the agency and the larger community whenever possible in order to contribute to the agency’s ongoing fundraising and friend-raising efforts.
- *Essential functions of this job is to be performed on company physical work site.
- Performs other program related duties as assigned.
