We are committed to excellence in surveying services and are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Survey Technician to join our team.

Position Overview:

As a Survey Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the surveying team by performing various technical tasks related to data collection, instrument operation, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in surveying, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Survey Party Chiefs in setting up and operating survey instruments, such as total stations and GPS equipment.
  • Conduct field surveys to collect accurate and reliable data for boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking.
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of surveying equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation and organization of field notes, sketches, and other survey data.
  • Support the production of survey plats, maps, and drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Collaborate with surveying team members to ensure efficient and accurate data collection.
  • Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain quality control in survey data.
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions and travel to project sites as required.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues related to survey data and equipment.
  • Stay informed about advancements in surveying technology and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in surveying or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in surveying
  • Familiarity with surveying equipment and instruments.
  • Basic understanding of surveying principles and terminology.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data collection.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills.
