Overview:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and effective management of daily operations at Kumon of Crofton Math & Reading Center. This role involves overseeing staff, managing schedules, ensuring the timely preparation of student materials, and maintaining a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and a passion for education.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Ensure that all student packets and materials are prepared in advance.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies.
  • Coordinate with the Business Manager to ensure alignment on student needs and center goals.

2. Staff Management:

  • Manage and schedule staff to ensure adequate coverage during operational hours.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to review performance, address issues, and plan for upcoming needs.

3. Customer Interaction:

  • Engage with parents to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Promote a positive and welcoming environment for students, parents, and staff.
  • Work closely with the Business Manager to support enrollment and retention initiatives.

4. Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as attendance, student satisfaction, and staff productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and procedures.

5. Reporting and Communication:

  • Report daily operations and issues to the center director and other relevant parties.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including staff, parents, and management.

Qualifications:

- Strong management and leadership skills, with experience managing a team.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

- Background in education or experience working in a learning center is a plus.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Sales experience and the ability to engage with parents and students effectively.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems is preferred.

KPI Targets:

- Student attendance and satisfaction rates.

- Accuracy and timeliness in the preparation of student materials.

- Staff productivity and adherence to schedules.

- Inventory management and cost control.

Location: 1117 State Rt 3N #102, Gambrills, MD 21054

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM; Saturdays as needed

Salary: $22 - $30 per hour

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
