Responsibilities:

  1. Design Leadership: Provide design leadership and direction, guiding the design team in creating innovative and user-centered design solutions. Define design strategies, set design direction, and establish design standards and best practices.

  2. User-Centered Design Excellence: Champion user-centered design principles and methodologies across the organization. Lead user research initiatives, conduct usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions.

  3. Strategic Design Planning: Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define product vision and strategy. Translate business requirements into compelling design solutions that address user needs and drive business objectives.

  4. Wireframing and Prototyping: Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and solutions. Use advanced design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma to create high-fidelity prototypes.

  5. Visual and Interaction Design Mastery: Create visually stunning and intuitive interfaces for web and mobile applications. Apply advanced design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniques to create polished and aesthetically pleasing designs.

  6. Design System Development: Lead the development and maintenance of design systems, patterns, and standards to ensure consistency and scalability across products and platforms. Establish design guidelines and best practices for the design team to follow.

  7. Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment between design and product goals. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.

  8. Project Management and Delivery: Manage design projects from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and meet project milestones.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design, interaction design, human-computer interaction, or a related field. Relevant coursework or certifications in UX/UI design is a plus.

  2. Portfolio: A portfolio showcasing design projects, including wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and finished designs. The portfolio should demonstrate exceptional design skills, creativity, and attention to detail.

  3. Technical Skills: Expertise in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or similar. Proficiency in prototyping tools such as InVision or Proto.io. Advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is desirable but not required.

  4. User-Centered Design Expertise: Extensive experience with user-centered design principles and methodologies. Proven track record of conducting user research, usability testing, and gathering qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions.

  5. Visual and Interaction Design Mastery: Demonstrated ability to create visually stunning and intuitive interfaces for web and mobile applications. Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and iconography.

  6. Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Ability to articulate design ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.

  7. Leadership and Mentorship: Strong leadership skills with experience leading design teams and projects. Ability to inspire and mentor junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
