Job Description:

As a Yard Spotter with Regency Transportation, you will play a crucial role in our logistics operations by efficiently and safely moving trailers and containers within our yard facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to organize, position, and transport trailers to designated loading docks or storage locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized yard environment

Responsibilities:

• Spotting Trailers: Maneuver trailers and containers within the yard facility using a yard truck or spotter truck.
• Organizing Yard Space: Ensure trailers are properly aligned and positioned for loading and unloading operations.
• Maintaining Yard Order: Keep track of trailer inventory, ensuring accurate counts and proper storage.
• Communicating with Warehouse Team: Coordinate closely with warehouse staff to prioritize trailer movements and meet loading/unloading schedules.
• Performing Inspections: Conduct routine inspections of trailers for damage, cleanliness, and safety compliance.
• Following Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating yard equipment and moving trailers.
• Reporting Maintenance Issues: Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Requirements:

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a yard spotter or similar role in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Familiarity with yard truck operations and ability to operate spotting equipment safely.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with warehouse teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized yard facility.
