Position Overview:As a Litigation Attorney with our firm, you will play a critical role in managing and litigating complex insurance defense cases from inception through resolution. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain extensive trial experience and work closely with senior partners, providing a pathway for growth into a leadership position within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Case Management: Independently handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury, property damage, and other related claims.
  • Trial Preparation and Litigation: Participate actively in all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, taking depositions, and preparing for trial. You will have the opportunity to be hands-on in trial proceedings.
  • Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic legal advice and keeping clients informed throughout the litigation process.
  • Legal Research and Writing: Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and other court documents with precision and attention to detail.
  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court, including pre-trial hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop case strategies and share knowledge, ensuring the best outcomes for our clients.
  • Mentorship: Assist in mentoring junior associates and support staff as the firm grows.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the [State] Bar.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on insurance defense.
  • Proven trial experience and a demonstrated ability to handle all phases of litigation.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
