Finance of America Holdings LLC, is seeking Tech Lead – Data Operations in Plano TX. Telecommuting permitted.

Summary of Duties:

  • Will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading technical initiatives for Finance of America.
  • Serves as the lead engineer on the Data Operations team for delivering new data projects. Leads the architecture, development, and integration of data and business intelligence for supporting the mission, vision, and strategies for the enterprise.
  • Responsible for leading the overall execution of the Data Operations program to include platform selection, architecture, and administration.
  • Serves as a technical leader to the Data Operations team in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data systems to ensure best practice control objectives are achieved. Supports the enterprise strategy through long-range planning and objectives, vendor selection, and delivery of results.
  • Designs solutions for data products and implements data strategies that provides the business and technology with opportunities to leverage data for greater insight and performance.
  • Drives the exploration, planning, and integration of new tools and methods to improve productivity, efficiency, and reduce costs.
  • Develops ETL best practices, problem diagnosis and resolution, serving as an escalation point of contact when problems occur.
  • Leads measurement framework development and partners with executive leadership to determine KPIs with the appropriate visual representations to ensure ongoing strategic alignment with short and long-term business objectives.
  • Establishes and maintains best practices and standardized frameworks, tools, and operational processes.
  • Develops and implements strategy to deliver accurate, reliable data to a broad set of users, business analysts, product owners, and reporting platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in any related occupation which provides the required experience.
  • Position also requires five (5) years of experience with: delivering cross-functional custom reporting solutions using Tableau, MicroStrategy, and PowerBI; Cloud database technologies such as Snowflake or AWS Relational Database Service; and Python (programming language).
  • Also required two (2) years of experience with: Leading and mentoring junior engineers; Presenting KPIs and metrics to executive leadership; Building technical or impact-scaling strategy; Azure DevOps; and JIRA.
