We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QuickBooks Bookkeeper to join our team and assist our current accountant. As a Bookkeeper Assistant, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate financial records for the hotel owner. The ideal candidate will have experience working with QuickBooks and possess a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and payroll. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to contribute to the success of a reputable hotel.

  • Confident with processing payroll in-house (not utilizing a third party company)
  • Process and track Accounts Payable

  • Process Payroll Bi-weekly

  • Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records

  • Gather and submit proper tax documents and information

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Knowledge working in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook

  • Must have an outstanding organizational skills

  • Problem solving skills to assist the hotel Owner

  • Ability to take direction and work as a team

  • Posts journal entries to general ledger.

  • · Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

  • · Prepare bank deposits and reconcile bank and credit card statements

  • · Prepare and post quarterly and year-end closing entries.

  • · Perform new hire onboarding and E-Verify.

  • · Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and Excel spreadsheets.

  • Ability to gather information and demonstrate understanding of what is being submitted to the owner and why

  • Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures.

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Education and Experience:

· Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other closely related field or three years or more related experience required.

Hotel experience not required but definitely a plus
