Experience:

Experience in substituting school aged children from Kindergarten to High School; K-12. Familiarity with instructional tools including technology.


Education:

High School diplomas or High School Equivalency (HSE).

Must obtain a Substitute Teaching License from the New Mexico Public Education Department.


Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Specific vision is a requirement in these job duties, including distance and peripheral vision and depth perception capabilities. (do they need documentation?)
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines.
  • Must have or able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification and a Navajo Nation food handler's permit.
  • Must pass federal background check required per 25 C.F.R. Part 63.
