Countryside Daycare & Preschool is seeking qualified and dedicated staff who enjoy working with children for our family-owned and operated center in Cresco

Basic Requirements:


  • High School Diploma (Associates degree preferred and will have a higher starting salary)
  • 2 years + experience working with children
  • Health assessment with a TB test
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Child Abuse History Clearance
  • FBI Fingerprint Clearance
  • NSOR Clearance
  • 2 Letters of reference
  • Pediatric CPR/First Certification (Preferred to start but will train)
  • Mandated Reporter Training (Preferred to start but will train)
  • Health and Safety Basics Training (Preferred to start but will train)
  • Fire Safety Training (Preferred to start but will train)

What youll do
As a Toddler Teacher, you will help to create a safe space where children can explore and learn with hands-on activities. Day to day youll:

  • Assist with implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants (Funnydaffer)
  • Create a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom, adhering to health and safety guidelines
  • Attend training sessions to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
What you need to thrive in this role
A love for working with children, flexibility to assist where needed, and a willingness to learn.

Additional needs include:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of childcare experience
  • Skills required: A positive attitude, patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with toddlers are a must Additionally, excellent communication skills with both children and adults, a commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Physical requirements: Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs., kneel, move and exercise with the children, stand for long periods, and pass a health screening
  • Location: Our classroom is located at 133 Golf Drive, Cresco
  • Schedule: We are open Monday-Friday (except major holidays) from 6:30am-6:00pm. Currently, we have hours available from 8:00am-5:00pm (with a 1hr lunch).
Additional Expectations


  • Follow daily feeding/eating schedules (posted in classroom)
  • Follow correct diaper changing procedures (posted in classroom)
  • Follow daily schedule (posted in classroom)
  • Inform Center Director of any problems that arise with discipline, staff, illness, supplies, or room maintenance
  • Attend staff meetings, trainings, and other mandatory staff functions
  • Straighten classroom and clean toys and appliances before leaving each day
  • Follow guidelines for DPW and Keystone Stars
