Do you have experience repairing a variety of technical products and machines in the manufacturing industry, autos, engines, construction, etc.? Join our Service & Repairs team in the role of Service Repair Technician with job duties that include:


Repair all SCHUNK products including but not limited to:

  • Pneumatic grippers and clamping devices.
  • Hydraulic clamping devices.
  • Machine tool accessories: Power lathe chucks, Hydraulic expansion tool holders, and fixturing.
  • Assemble special designed products systems and fixturing.
  • Packaging and labeling technical assemblies.
  • Inspect and process product returns.
  • Apply practical knowledge to repair and refurbish damaged and worn products.
  • May install and repair products at customer facilities when requested.
  • Function as a production department partner and team member.
  • Maintain clean and orderly workstation through SCHUNK 5S program
  • Follow all SCHUNK production safety rules and policies.
  • Participate in the SCHUNK Quality Improvement Program.
  • Perform other duties or projects when requested by SCHUNK management.
Requirements:
  • A.S. degree in Industrial Systems Technology, Industrial Machine Maintenance, or related field or a combination of education, training, and work experience in the following (Equipment mechanic, automotive repair mechanic, machine repair mechanic, machine maintenance, automotive maintenance).
  • Experience with inspection and repair of mechanical devices and equipment.
  • Experience reading prints, drawings, and product manuals to diagnose and make mechanical repairs.
  • Experience with PC applications including internet, email, and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel. Ability to use or learn to use in-house sales/order applications as they relate to repairs and service.
  • Must be self-motivated and work with minimum supervision.
  • Must have close attention to detail. For example, carefully reading and following assembly and dis-assembly instructions.
  • Understands metric measurements and units.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic operated devices is highly desired.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting and testing a plus but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively on the phone with customers and employees.
  • Valid Driver’s License
