Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist with a specialization in AI to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in data analysis, machine learning, and model implementation to develop valuable insights and data-driven solutions. This role involves extensive collaboration with various teams to understand project objectives and deliver sophisticated data solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in large and complex data sets.
  • Perform data mining, cleaning, and aggregation processes to prepare data for analysis.
  • Implement data models and conduct advanced statistical analysis.
  • Develop and maintain databases to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Interpret results from multiple structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Use programming, statistical, and analytical techniques to analyze data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project goals and objectives.
  • Design, develop, and implement the most valuable data-driven solutions for the organization.
  • Provide actionable insights to stakeholders based on data analysis.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity throughout the analysis process.
  • Develop and present data reports and visualizations to senior management.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior data scientists as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis processes and methodologies.
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes based on data insights.
  • Gather, clean, and preprocess data for analysis.
  • Identify datasets, perform data cleaning and transformation tasks to ensure data quality.
  • Create and train machine learning models, selecting appropriate algorithms and techniques.
  • Design, implement, and tune training models to relevant data sets and evaluate model performance.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences through clear visualizations, reports, and presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7 years Minimum experience in data analysis, data mining, and data modeling.
  • Experience with big data technologies and tools.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming languages such as Python, R, or similar.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Familiarity with database management systems and data warehousing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $120,250 to $162,295 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
