We are seeking a skilled and dedicated in-house paralegal to join our legal team. As an in-house paralegal, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our legal department, providing vital support in various legal matters.

Position Overview:

 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented in-house paralegal to assist our legal team in managing a wide range of legal tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation. This role will involve supporting attorneys in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, maintaining and organizing legal files, and assisting with other administrative tasks as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with drafting, reviewing, and editing legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and pleadings.
  • Conduct legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
  • Organize and maintain legal files and documents, ensuring they are easily accessible and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to gather necessary information and documentation for legal matters.
  • Assist in preparing for meetings, hearings, and trials by compiling relevant materials and documents.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and external parties as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  • Stay up-to-date on legal developments and changes in relevant laws and regulations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, legal studies, or related field
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program preferred
  • A strong understanding of real estate and rental regulations
  • 5 years of experience working as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department
  • Strong proficiency in legal research tools and databases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
