Our growing law firm is looking to hire an experienced family attorney who is fiercely passionate about representing clients facing one of the most challenging times in their lives. Candidates should be adept at preparing necessary legal documents in connection with separation agreements, prenuptial agreements, initiating and finalizing divorces, alimony, child support/child custody, and division of assets and debts. Experience in handling legal issues such as child abuse, child custody, and domestic violence is also a must. If you have a proven record of success both in and out of court, apply now

Compensation:

$100,000+

Responsibilities:
  • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action
  • Keep client files properly organized and up to date
  • Collaborate with senior partners and paralegals to effectively move files through the civil litigation process
  • Ensure clients are effectively represented at court hearings as needed
  • Prepare legal documents such as legal pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, contracts, judgments, and orders for a high volume of cases
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, especially in highly stressful and emotional situations
  • Active member of the ABA (American Bar Association)
  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background and Juris Doctor degree required
  • Extra consideration for those with a criminal justice background
  • 5-10 years of family law experience preferred
