Responsibilities Include:

  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and repair as necessary.
  • Complete preventative maintenance on all types of vehicles and equipment
  • Diagnose and repair diesel/gas engines.
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Complete DOT Inspections, COMAR
  • Complete alignment check
  • Complete A/C work
  • Ability to maintain daily organization of all applicable paperwork pertaining to repair orders, parts orders.
  • Proven welding ability preferred.
  • Ability to work in an autonomous, safe and professional manner.
  • Participate in continuous ASE, dealer re-certification to remain in job classification.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend service and repair manuals.
  • Provide professional and respectful treatment to drivers, visitors, employees, and management.
  • Ensures all personal protective equipment is used as required.
  • Uses computers to issue parts and update comments on work orders/task list including.
  • Attach test instruments to equipment and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and routine maintenance.
  • Performs inspection, maintenance, and repairs on heavy duty vehicles, such as trucks, etc.
Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Preferably minimum 3+ years working in a busy automotive service department or independent mechanic shop.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 2 moving violations preferred.
  • ASE certifications preferred Mechanical or Engineering Technician Certificate or Degree
  • MUST HAVE your own basic mechanical tools and transportation.

Pay Structure / Schedule:
  • $22-$28 / hr
  • M-F
  • 8 AM – 5 PM
  • 40 Hour week
  • Overtime available
