Responsibilities

Our RNs put the patient at the center of care... They work with a inter-disciplinary team to provide skilled nursing care, and case management for patients in their homes. The RN On-Call provides skilled nursing on-call coverage, including availability for skilled nursing visits and admissions, for the Hospice and Home Health programs.  On-call coverage is provided from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. according to an established schedule.  The On-Call RN will answer incoming calls for the home health and hospice programs from Missoula, Hamilton and Lake branches, but will not perform visits for the Lake branch. They communicate needs to the RN Case Manager to ensure continuity of care for patients and their families. They work with a staff of professional healthcare providers including Home Health Aides, PT's, OT's, SLP, Social Workers, Chaplin's, and other team members. Through patient and family instruction and evaluation, they provide the highest quality care and attention. They maintain accurate, current and complete patient records to assist with patient outcomes. 


Qualifications

Required: A current RN License in the State of Montana, a valid driver’s license, appropriate auto insurance, and reliable transportation. 

Preferred: 2 years of recent acute care or home care experience preferred.

 

Schedule:

Specific work days and work hours are as directed by your manager. FT and PT is available. On-call scheduling is assisted through a first-contact service that we contract with to minimize the disruption in our nurses lives; the service reduces the number of calls by approximately 50%.
