Position Summary:

Leads a team of dedicated SAP professionals responsible for designing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining SAP solutions that integrate with Airbus US Space & Defense, Inc., supply chain, logistics, and production systems. Also responsible for ensuring that the company's systems and processes comply with relevant laws and IT regulations and plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and legal compliance of the operations. The role is responsible for maintaining transparency and providing accurate information for decision-making and compliance purposes.


Responsibilities:

SAP Team lead (40%):

  • Provides leadership and tactical guidance to a team of SAP developers and module experts, ensuring they are equipped and motivated to develop and maintain SAP application functionality to meet the needs of the business.
  • Directs SAP solutions team to develop and implement SAP strategies to refine processes, improve efficiency, and keep pace with business growth.
  • Stays abreast of SAP trends and best practices; provides for the development of staff knowledge and capabilities in line with the current needs of the business.

Project Management (25%):

  • Manages resources and budget of projects up to 5M$
  • Engages with business stakeholders and technical staff to understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions. Builds proactive formal and informal relationships and communications channels with key internal & external stakeholders.
  • Develops project plans following Agile project management methodology, identifies resource requirements, and manages SAP projects from conception to completion, ensuring conformity with agreed-upon timelines and budgets.
  • Follows Agile project management methodology and is responsible for delivering the systems solutions through to entry into service
  • Meets regularly with the project team to:
    • Assign workstreams and tasks and validate project team's understanding of them;
    • Hold project team members accountable for progress and timely completion of assigned tasks;
    • Identify risks and escalate issues and to develop mitigation plans;
    • Review incoming and outgoing project documentation;
    • Create informative progress reports for stakeholders;
    • Celebrate the completion of key milestones; and
    • Ensure stakeholder satisfaction with final outcome(s) of project.
  • Apprises stakeholders of project progress, issues, risk management, and revisions to the original project plan(s). Maintains transparency and provides accurate information for decision-making and compliance purposes.
  • Conducts post-project reviews and creates detailed reports for executive staff.

SAP operational / Support activities (35%) :

  • Serves as internal subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior leadership on matters involving role of SAP solutions in achieving process optimization and business transformation.
  • Organizes and facilitates a change advisory board (CAB) to direct modeling, design, and testing of concepts and potential changes to SAP applications and solutions in Airbus U.S. operations.
  • Directs implementation, configuration, testing and on-going maintenance of SAP applications and solutions to ensure system stability and reliability.
  • Analyzes situations, evaluates alternatives, and implements solutions within standards (where applicable).
  • Interprets guidelines and analyzes factual information to adapt or modify processes in response to changing circumstances.
  • Provides for user acceptance testing, stress testing, and user training of all SAP applications and solutions.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Master's degree in Information Systems or equivalent training required

Experience:

  • 10 to 15 years related experience required.
  • Experience in migration from ECC6 to S4/Hana required.
  • Experience in stakeholder management and SAP program lead.
  • Demonstrated experience with standard software applications, including MS Office, Windows. May require database management skills with ability to produce reports. Ability to use advanced computer functions.

Performance Attributes and Capability:

  • Full understanding of SAP delivery models by following ASAP methodology, tools, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules integration with the major SAP modules such as MM-PP-SD-HR-FI-CO
  • In-depth knowledge of Logistic and Manufacturing technical integration in SAP
  • In-depth knowledge of Procure to Pay integration within SAP
  • In-depth knowledge of Customs process and systems.
  • In-depth experience of IT business controls & compliance and Airbus Internal Controls Self-Assessment (ICSA)
  • Ability to manipulate, analyze and interpret data.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Training ability/experience a plus. (training others)
  • Duties may require non-routine analysis, research and follow-through
  • May act as a resource to others to solve problems.

Mobility:

  • US citizenship is required.
  • Travel may be required up to 30% of the time; current U.S. passport is recommended.

Physical Capability:

  • Vision: able to see and read computer screen and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 25lbs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, electronic equipment and/or supplies up to 25lbs.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
