We are looking for a Jacket Installer to join our team Under general supervision this position installs fiber glass insultation on shell boilers and then fits and secures sheet metal jackets to the boiler over the insulating material.

This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are Monday-Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM; Saturdays as needed (maximum of two required 6 AM – 12 PM).

In addition, but not limited to the above requirements, this individual will be required, at times, to possess, troubleshoot, repair, or maintain the following:

  • Secures insulation material (fiber glass) from storage and transports to boiler site in the shop.
  • Apply rubber cement or cup pin studs.
  • Applies fiber glass insulation material all around boiler.
  • Secures sheet metal jacket (pre-cut) from Jacket Fabricator and transports to boiler site in the shop.
  • Fits jacket on boiler (section by section) and secures to boiler with Kalon screws being careful to have sheet metal jacket sections overlapping properly.
  • Assist trimmer when required.
  • May be required to operate powered lift truck.
  • Loads and unloads trucks and railcars as required.
  • Performs related work as directed.

Requirement(s):

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
