WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Once selected to join our team, you will:

  • Assist the Survey Discipline Lead with land surveying duties and draft detailed drawings for various projects.
  • Process field data, perform calculations, and manage documentation for different types of surveys.
  • Determine methods for establishing or reestablishing survey control and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with Project Surveyors and Managers to ensure the delivery of complete, timely, and precise products.
  • Perform field survey work and any other duties as necessary to support the team’s objectives.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Solid understanding of surveying principles and methods.
  • Knowledge of proper retracement of land boundaries.
  • Familiarity with field survey equipment and state plane coordinates systems

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency with documentation related to boundary analysis and decisions.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center software, and MS Office.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and maintain a high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with mid-level math.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years’ experience as a Survey Party Chief.
  • 0-2 years’ experience with computer-aided drafting, specifically with Civil 3D software.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Level II Survey Technician Certification (CST) is preferred.
