QES Engineering Inspection is seeking an Accounting Clerk to assist the team supervisors and other managers with a variety of accounting and payroll related tasks. The Accounting Clerk will track and research any accounting issues that arise, as needed by management. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently with minimal guidance and should have knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll processing.

This is a full-time position located in our Cochranton, Pennsylvania office. LOCAL PENNSYLVANIA RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. 

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
• Gathers, reviews and processes timesheets for company payroll.
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying clients of missing payments.
• Manage all payroll related tax needs, processing of child support payment and 401K/HSA uploads.
• Maintains financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree and minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks.
• Familiarity with Foundation, Sage, or equivalent accounting software systems.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
