Berry Solutions Group, a rapidly expanding Managed Service Provider (MSP), is actively seeking an experienced Physical Security and Network Technician. We're looking for someone with a robust background in Managed Service Provider (MSP) environments. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining and improving our clients' IT systems, ensuring seamless operations, and providing exceptional customer support.

 

Your Role

 

  1. Network Infrastructure Management:
    • Design, deploy, and maintain complex computer networks and cabling infrastructure.
    • Swiftly diagnose and resolve network issues to maintain uninterrupted operations.
    • Conduct thorough testing and configuration of LAN infrastructure and software systems.
    • Implement strong security measures to reinforce our networks against threats.
  2. Physical Security:
    • Install and configure IP-based surveillance camera systems, access control systems, and related hardware components in various environments.
    • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling infrastructure, adhering to industry standards and best practices for reliable network connectivity and performance.
  3. Technical Support and Assistance:
    • Provide comprehensive technical support to end-users for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
    • Efficiently troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
    • Facilitate software installations and updates as necessary.
    • Serve as a Help Desk Technician, addressing user inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly.
  4. End User Desktop Support:
    • Offer end-to-end support for end-user computing devices, ensuring optimal performance and user satisfaction.
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
    • Provide guidance and assistance to users on system usage and troubleshooting techniques.
  5. Documentation and Training:
    • Maintain detailed documentation of network processes, configurations, and protocols.
    • Develop user manuals and guidelines to streamline network management.
    • Provide technical guidance and training to enhance team proficiency.
  6. Client Engagement and Site Visits:
    • Conduct on-site visits to client locations for installations, upgrades, and maintenance tasks.
    • Work closely with clients to understand and address their unique network requirements effectively.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as A+ or Net+ are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on networking experience, with previous experience in Managed Service Providers (MSPs) being advantageous.
