Our three core programs include The Anderson and Woodbridge schools located in Andover and our Early Intervention program in Lawrence which recently expanded int the Greater Lowell area.


The Job

As a member of the Finance Department in Andover, the Insurance Billing & Accounting Administrator reporting to the Billing Coordinator provides assistance with new/existing electronic files/referrals for children who are clients of the Early Intervention (EI) program in compliance with state insurance coverage guidelines. This role assists with the creation of new/existing files for pre-authorizations for services, referrals, as well as service effective dates. The Insurance Billing & Accounting Administrator also assists with the entry of new/existing children into the Thom billing software and the (EICS) Early Intervention Client systems, applies payments, appeals for payment denials, and handles claims needing secondary billing. This position prepares various spreadsheets, runs reports, and pulls supporting documentation required for the annual audit.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree is a plus.
  • 1-2 years work experience with third party billing/medical insurance billing using Thom billing software or related billing software is required.
  • Analytical and detail orientation to research and reconcile ledger accounts.
  • Excellent time management, multi-tasking ability, and work prioritization skills.
  • Strong customer service focus, listening and organization skills include the ability to work under pressure and deadlines.
  • Able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with internal and external constituents.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and ethics.
  • Must have solid experience using MS Office Word, Excel, and Outlook email.
  • Non-profit services agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Frequent sitting for extended periods, ability to bend and up to 15 lbs. to perform job tasks.
