We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible to clip dogs according to breed-specific standards owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you
Responsibilities
- Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
- Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
- Bathe dogs and dry coat
- Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
- Trim nails
- Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
- Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
- Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
- Comfortable working with anxious animals
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
- Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
- Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
- Strong attention to detail
