Key Performance Indicators

  • Health and Safety – Incident Rate (IR)
  • Quality – Plant Return Rate (PRR), Laminate Waste, and First Pass Yield
  • Productivity – Utilization and Efficiency (OEE)
  • Work Order On-time Completion

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensures high quality labels are produced in a safe and efficient manner by performing inspection & testing, rework and packing activities using attention to detail and established procedures

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follows safety and operating procedures for all plant and ancillary equipment and reports hazards to supervisor
  • Verifies work orders meet sales order requirements
  • Communicates quality issues with press operators as they arise
  • Assembles packaging for finished labels
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to product as required
  • Loads labels and packaging material to and from conveyors, boxes and pallets by hand
  • Counts and verifies output satisfies work order requirements
  • Inspects and tests labels to verify conformance to specifications and Sinclair standards Reworks defective or incomplete label rolls and materials
  • Operates production equipment including rub testers, label rewinders, and label application testing machines
  • Inspects all work order set-ups and monitors production runs for quality defects
  • Completes required documentation for time keeping, housekeeping, and periodic preventative maintenance
  • Preforms housekeeping and keeps work area, machines, and equipment clean and clutter free
  • Performs routine maintenance on production, testing, and ancillary equipment
  • Reports maintenance issues with production or testing equipment and completes notifications as required; enters maintenance requests for repairs as needed
  • Meets or exceeds label production targets (KPIs)
  • Attends and participates periodic production, safety and departmental meetings
  • Cross trains in other label production department roles
  • Works as a back-up in other production department roles as assigned
  • Other projects and/or duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
