Capitol House Nursing and Rehabilitation in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring for Ward Clerk

Weekend Shifts: 6a-6p

Duties:

Provides general administrative, clerical and support services to the clinical unit assigned
Ensures optimal and safe patient care by supporting medical and nursing staff
Keeps medical records and all patient care related documents secured and in compliance with state and federal regulations
Greet visitors and direct them to patient rooms
Performs receptionist duties

Requirements:

At least one year with knowledge and experience in the following areas: medical terminology, multi-line phones, call light system, filing, ICD-10 knowledge and good phone etiquette
Must be able to work flexible schedule including 12 hour shifts
Have dependable transportation, driver’s license and car insurance
Patient care oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Microsoft Office proficiency
