POSITION: Production Technician
DESCRIPTION
Capsule is hiring for a Production Technician position that reports into the Director of Manufacturing. The Production Technician’s primary responsibilities are to assemble customer orders on our manufacturing floor. This position involves working in a dynamic workplace, supporting multiple projects at once to meet customer deadlines. This function will require a core focus on excellent communication, good work ethic and a positive attitude to ship orders on time. This is an onsite position, Monday- Friday and is the 2nd shift of the day. The hours are 1:00 PM- 9:30 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- May involve the following areas of assembly:
- framing, wall board, insulation and panels.
- Aluminum powder coat and stainless steel food service assemblies.
- Food service and commercial/residential appliance installation.
- Machine operating including press brake, water jet/laser, stud forming machine.
- Hand tool use for assembling metal stud, trim, interior and exterior finishes and cabinetry.
- Assist with inventory, receiving and shipping including palletizing, stacking, wrapping and moving material around the facility.
- Perform quality control checks on parts and materials entering or leaving the manufacturing facility.
- Regular work space cleaning and organization.
- Attention to safety procedures and protocols.
- Final inspections of all assemblies leaving the facility to certify quality of assembly.
- Build to UL and HCD Commercial Modular licensed assembly standards.
- Participate in training during the crossover times in the shift.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
- Ability to work with hand tools.
- Familiarity with construction drawings or production modeling software.
- Standing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs of equipment at a time.
- Experience operating press brake, CNC, water jet/laser cutting operations, forklift training and welding preferred.
- Positive attitude, reliability and willingness to work in a team environment as part of a growing company.
- Clean driving record for 15% of travel a year for installations or service calls
Compensation: based on experience $16-$25
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have proof to be considered for this position.
