Job DescriptionJob Description

General Description: Full-time faculty members will teach a variety of courses in their assigned department(s), advise students, serve on committees and, in general, advance the educational program of the college. Full-time faculty members are assigned academic rank and salary commensurate with education and experience. They report through a peer department chairperson to the Senior Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs.


This person's main teaching responsibilities will be for Accounting courses.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use effective teaching strategies and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
  • Provide immediate, routine, and consistent feedback to students to assist them in improving performance in technical and core ability competencies.
  • Teach at all PCCC locations.
  • Maintain required office hours.
  • Involved in curriculum development, assessment (program & course), and student academic evaluation & retention.
  • Required to teach a minimum of one evening course per semester.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of one of the following prior to the start of the Fall 2024 semester: MBA in Accounting, or MBA in another concentration with a CPA, CMA certification, or a Graduate Accounting Certificate.
  • Prior college teaching required.
  • Experience in use of QuickBooks.

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior teaching experience in various distance learning modalities.
  • Qualifications to teach other courses in the business department.
  • Federal Taxation knowledge.
  • Community college teaching experience.

The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
