We are changing the industry and growing quickly As we seek to fulfill our mission through expansion and growth, we need a Recruiter to help us source, onboard, and retain contractors (aka "owner-operators") that align with our mission, vision, and values. This role is instrumental in meeting our goals and maintaining a healthy, happy fleet of contractors.


Who Your Internal Customers Are and How This Role Delivers Value to Them:

  • Operations Team: The Operations Team relies on a robust fleet of owner/operators to execute transportation services efficiently. Your role ensures a steady pipeline of qualified owner-operators and drivers, supporting the Operations Team(s) in meeting client demands and maintaining service excellence.
  • Compliance Department: The Compliance Department is responsible for ensuring that all drivers meet regulatory standards and company policies. Your thorough pre-screening and qualification processes contribute to compliance efforts, facilitating smooth onboarding and minimizing compliance risks.
  • Sales and Business Development: The Sales and Business Development teams rely on a strong fleet to expand business opportunities and meet revenue targets. Your recruitment efforts directly support their objectives by adding qualified drivers to the fleet, enabling them to pursue new contracts and partnerships confidently.
  • Marketing: The Marketing team is tasked with enhancing the company's brand image and attracting top talent. Your collaboration in developing compelling recruitment messaging and initiatives aligns recruitment efforts with marketing strategies, bolstering the company's reputation and attractiveness to potential drivers.
  • People: Your role in sourcing, onboarding, and retaining qualified drivers directly supports People Team initiatives by ensuring a skilled and engaged workforce, ultimately fostering a positive company culture and Team Member satisfaction.

Your Impact:


Attract and retain reliable owner-operators through scalable recruitment strategies.

  • Develop strategies to locate and recruit potential contractors who meet our company and DOT standards in various markets.
  • Develop and implement creative outreach strategies to engage owner-operators who are looking for a strategic hauling company to partner with.
  • Support business needs and sales forecast through actively adding qualified owner/operators into our fleet.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain creative recruiting or referral programs.
  • Actively field and generate contractor recruiting leads via all communication channels.

Ensure operational integrity, safety, and a reliable fleet committed to excellence by conducting thorough pre-screening that meets DOT and company standards.

  • Pre-screen applicants to ensure they meet DOT and company standards before introductions to the Hiring & Compliance Team to start their onboarding process.
  • Work closely with the compliance team to qualify applicants and set them up for onboarding.
  • Assist with administrative support as needed.

Elevate our industry presence by aligning recruitment with brand identity to attract top talent and collaborating with marketing to develop compelling outreach strategies.

  • Assist with developing contractor-facing messaging for recruiting advertisements.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to assist with channel selection and lead generation to support recruiting efforts.

Requirements:
  • Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
  • 2+ years experience in recruiting or sales required
  • Highly organized multitasker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, with written follow up
  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in various software and social media platforms
  • Customer service-oriented
  • Logistics or similar industry experience preferred
  • Understanding of marketing and target-driven lead generation
  • Experience with applicant tracking and CRM systems preferred
