Job Description: We are looking to hire a candidate that has at least 3 years of experience estimating in commercial construction, both public and private. This individual should have proficient math and analytical skills, with attention to detail. Have the ability to read and interpret construction specifications and drawings and works well with meeting tight deadlines. We are also looking for a candidate to have great interpersonal communication skills and should enjoy building business relationships with vendors and subcontractors.

Duties:

• Review plans and specifications related to project scope to gain a thorough understanding of the project to be estimated
• Create and send Request for Information, RFIs, to the architect with any questions or need for clarification on project scope.
• Quantify material, product, and labor information on all aspects of the project, including obtaining and negotiating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors by submitting project information and take offs.
• Visit Job sites to review project conditions and requirements for project, where applicable.
• Using all the compiled information, create accurate bid proposals and submissions by bid deadlines.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Administration Staff on awarded bids and proposals by reviewing contract, scope, quotes, budgets and creation of schedule of values.

Qualifications:
High School Education
Construction Management Degree, a plus
3 or more years Estimating in Commercial Construction
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Ability to use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and familiar with Bluebeam and Cad Software
Ability to meet deadlines
