Electrical Superintendent

Catapult is currently qualifying Electrical Superintendents. Our client provides custom power augmentation and energy plant solutions for power generation and utilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG), data center, biopharma, and other markets. Their innovative solutions include turbine inlet air chilling, inlet air conditioning (heating and cooling), evaporative cooling, direct contact air chilling, thermal energy storage, district cooling and central utility plants.

Summary Objective of Electrical Superintendent:

The Electrical Superintendent will coordinate and manage the team of electricians responsible for installation, wiring and testing of electrical components of chilled water systems. Responsibilities include task assignments, staff training, inspections and technical problem solving. As a leader, the Electrical Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring highest quality standards are met and that all safety procedures are implemented.

Essential Functions of Electrical Superintendent:

• Create and manage project and sub-contractor schedules, coordinate shop floor activities and monitor tool certifications, calibrations, etc.
• Implement and maintain Competent Persons training.
• Establish cost estimation and select manpower accordingly.
• Coordinate quality checks
• Implement and monitor safety procedures and issue violations when necessary.
• Seek to identify improved methods of production and safety and be proactive in the implementation.
• Responsibilities may require sedentary work, including but not limited to computer operation, video review, classroom or online training, job observations/inspections, and peer work review.
• Prepares for ISO 9001 and other audits.
  

Work Environment of Electrical Superintendent:

This position operates out of a fabrication facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sometimes exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The first shift days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience of Electrical Superintendent:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 10+ years of experience managing personnel and track record of industrial electrical installation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Knowledge concerning industrial transformer, LVMCC, HVMCC, etc.
• Extensive and documented industrial electrical gear knowledge.
• Budgeting and compliance with electrical codes
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician

Desired Education and Experience for Electrical Superintendent:

• Licensed Electrician in Florida or reciprocal State
