Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assuming leadership roles and assisting in managing the parts warehouse functions successfully. The Parts Warehouse Lead is responsible for responding to company needs in a positive, caring manner while showing a sense of urgency in communicating with customers in the processing of their parts orders. This position assists the Parts Warehouse Supervisor in providing direction and support for the parts warehouse and personnel to ensure that customer needs are satisfied while adhering to company policies and procedures. The work hours will be 8:00 pm - 5:00 am, Monday - Friday.

Essential Functions:

  • Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
  • Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
  • Maintains all company equipment, warehouse environment, tools, and work areas in a good, clean, and working order
  • Completes all parts order pulling transactions for external and internal customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Completes all stock replenishment tasks in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure proper inventory status in the parts warehouse. To be monitored by management observation, stock order analysis reports, and daily and year-end physical inventories.
  • Maintains parts operations office, warehouse, and outside yards, so that they are neat and orderly as assessed by the department manager
  • Develop sales and inventory skills by completing internal training programs as determined by performance review goal setting guide for self-improvement and achievement of other KRA's
  • Completes internal parts orders and identifies parts for return communicates job status to supervisor as needed
  • Places 3rd party orders through the CODA system and how to receive orders through the CODA system
  • Supports other departments’ peripheral projects to ensure company success and achievement of stated goals, as monitored by management observation and planning
  • Provides a significant amount of task and behavior-oriented supervision, mentoring, and training to others
  • Works overtime as required by workload
  • Requires regular and punctual employee attendance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to meet all requirements as outlined in the Parts Warehouse Position Designation Guidelines to include; order pulling, job-related software, forklift operation, hydraulic hose building, ladder JSA, battery JSA, prime mover JSA, will counter operations, and all applicable policies and procedures
  • Extensive working knowledge of equipment and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Extensive working knowledge and proficiency with current computer software and related hardware
  • Operation and control skills of equipment or systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization
  • Equipment selection skills by determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
  • Ability to follow logical troubleshooting procedures
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair including an overhead crane
  • Ability to operate a conventional forklift
  • Ability to quickly and repeatedly operate the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Travel:
