SUMMARY:   

Experienced full-time Electrician Tech Helper needed for a large private recreational ranch nestled in the heart of West Texas. The Electrician Tech Helper will assist electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems. The technician helper will carry tools and materials, cut and assemble conduit, clean work areas and equipment, and perform simple tasks under direct supervision. They must follow safety protocols to prevent injuries and accidents. The ideal candidate will have good manual dexterity, the ability to follow instructions, and a willingness to learn. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Installs, wires, and maintains electrical equipment and fixtures including but not limited to receptacles, switches, circuit breakers, fuse boxes, transformers, switchboards, motors, and electrical panel boards. 
  • Locates and diagnoses problems in the electrical system or equipment; works standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring and electrical equipment. 
  • Maintains and operates electrical systems, equipment, and appliances; responds to all electrical emergencies. 
  • Ensures compliance to National Electrical Code and company standards when wiring equipment. 
  • Performs proper electrical hook-ups of equipment to power sources; labels all receptacles and power sources from panels and circuit breakers; prepares electrical schematic documentation of all work performed. 
  • Requisitions supplies when necessary to complete assignments. 
  • Ensures that all applicable safety policies and codes are enforced and followed. 
  • Maintains tools, equipment, shop, and work areas in the best possible condition for maximum production and safety. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • 1-2 years experience as an Electrician Helper or Apprentice. 
  • Ability to develop, read, understand, and interpret schematics and blueprints. 
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and the ability to meet deadlines. 
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. 
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements. 
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary. 
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the company’s business.  
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.  
  • Must have Valid Driver’s License. 
  • Successful completion of thorough background investigation and reference check.  

 

 PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:  

  • Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 50lbs without limitation.  
  • No bending, twisting, reaching, standing limitations. 
  • Continually required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. 
  • Working conditions can vary greatly depending on the job site and time of year. You must be able to perform your work in extreme heat, cold, muddy, wet, windy, and dry conditions. 

 

 

Schedule:    

This is a non-exempt full-time position. Candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends and potentially on Holidays. Schedule is generally (5) days a week (Monday-Friday).

Compensation  

As required by applicable pay transparency laws, Daugherty Ranches LLC provides a range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in locations under these requirements.  

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of things including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other related factors.  The starting pay for this position is between $32-$38 per hour.
