POSITION OVERVIEW
Our Chief Inspector ensures that repair operations are conducted in accordance with pertinent FAA regulations, Unilode's Quality Manual/Procedures, customer air carrier requirements and provides the final airworthiness determination.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all articles delivered and maintained by the repair station are properly recorded and staged from receipt to delivery in their airworthy/serviceable condition.
- Perform and have oversight of inspection activity.
- Ensure compliance with pertinent FAA regulations, manufacturer's technical data/approved supplements, RSM/QCM and customer requirements.
- Report all quality related issues to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely creation of work orders.
- Conduct preliminary, hidden damage, in-progress and final inspections/RTS of aircraft articles processed by the repair station (as authorized) and assuring proper recording of results.
- Perform repairs when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A&P License required.
- 2+ years practical experience in aviation maintenance preferred.
- Excellent communication skills including written and oral
- Ability to make quality decisions and effectively solve problems.
- Possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to interface with computers.
- Ability to read technical publications and drawings
