Job Summary: Securiport LLC is a US company based in Washington, DC, that specializes in the design and implementation of passenger biometric recognition, immigration processing, and intelligent information reporting and management systems based on advanced technological solutions.  Securiport provides a complete immigration processing solution and analytics to maintain border security. Services include technical analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of Securiport’s software solutions, training, and technical support to the field operations.

 

The Corporate IT Systems Administrator II is responsible for developing and managing security for one or more IT functional areas, to include but not limited to data, systems, network, and/or applications.  The incumbent must possess the qualification to effectively identify risk, analyze cybersecurity event data, and work to provide effective asset protection, incident detection, and response measures across enterprise systems and applications.


Essential Functions


  • Ensures Maintenance and management of information security related applications.
  • Triage and address cybersecurity alerts reported by information security systems.
  • Proactively identify risks and active threats to the organization, IT systems, and applications.
  • Develop and tune cybersecurity incident detection systems to provide effective security for the organization.
  • Perform incident response tasks including evidence preservation, forensics, and malware/exploit analysis.
  • Endpoint and application hardening for risk reduction.
  • Perform vulnerability scans and testing, publish remediation instruction, and track resolution.
  • Continually develop Security Orchestration Automation and Response capability to drive faster incident analysis and response.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to management to continuously improve the cybersecurity posture of the Company.
  • Lead job assignments without direct supervision.
  • Work closely with management to prioritize business goals and information security needs.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

 

  • Possesses in-depth experience with Network Intrusion Detection/Prevention systems, Enterprise Application Layer Firewalls, Enterprise Endpoint Protection, Enterprise Authentication Technologies, Security Event Information Management, Vulnerability Assessment, and cybersecurity incident response and forensics.
  • Understanding and familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Understanding and familiarity with ISO 27001 controls.
  • Familiarity with Operational Technology (OT) / Industrial Control Systems (ICS) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with great attention to detail.
  • Broad knowledge of information security technologies, principles, and frameworks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal communication skills are required in order to interface with all affected teams, personnel, senior management, and vendors.
  • An organized and detail-oriented self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently given direction and resources.
  • Well-grounded, preferring to work in a collegial and team environment using effective interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems independently and exercise excellent judgment and common sense.
  • Advanced computing skill sets – proficient with multiple computing operating systems and programming languages.
  • Demonstrated ability of providing superlative customer service.

 

Required Education, Certifications/ Licenses, Related Experience


  • Bachelor’s Degree in M.I.S., Computer Science, Information Security or related degrees, or related years of experience.
  • Cybersecurity certifications, such as CEH, GIAC, CISSP, OSCP, desired but not required.
  • Minimum 4 years of work-related experience.

 

Physical Job Requirements


  • This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position (standing and/or seated) all the time.
  • This position requires the ability to spend all the time viewing computer monitors.

 

Travel Requirements


  • This position has no travel requirements.
