A part-time intermittent Field Enumerator position is available in Niagara County, New York for the National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA).
In this position, you collect reliable, accurate, crop or livestock data directly from farmers either by telephone or in-person interviews; for use in USDA/NASS Statistical reports. After gathering all your information, you submit detailed and legible records of the interviews via USDA supplied iPad and submit accurate digital timesheets. You report primarily to your Supervisor, so you must be able to respond promptly to emails.
$16.31 per hour starting salary plus 65.5 cents per mile.
Agricultural background is desirable , but not essential.
Required - good oral and written communication skills.
Use of personal telephone and reliable vehicle.
Occasional overnight training, hourly rate, plus mileage.
Clean drivers license and background check.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A FIELD ENUMERATOR
Experience multi-tasking in an energetic, deadline oriented work environment.
Ability to read amps and understand aerial photo/satellite views.
Ability to conduct interviews in person or by phone with farm operators and other individuals.
Knowledge about computers and iPads.
Ability to demonstrate good time management.
