The Lab Cleaner will ensure that wares and dishes in the pharmacy lab are clean, sanitized, and ready for use. This position will do end of day cleaning, sweeping, and mopping as needed. This is a full-time position and will report to the Pharmacy Operations Manager.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Wash all labware and dishes as instructed by the lab supervisor
- Correctly place and store clean equipment, supplies and dishes in the assigned areas to be ready for use
- Move dishes and supplies to the assigned areas
- End of day clean-up including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning counters and sinks as well as taking out trash and shredder
- Ensure work area remains safe, clean, and orderly and adhere to the required guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation
- Maintaining inventory of non-drug items and breakdown the of the received items/boxes
- Participate in monthly deep cleaning of the lab with other staff members
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand and follow directions
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand and meet the required standards for cleaning lab
- Ability to work well and effectively with the lab staff
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to stand or walk for prolong periods
- Ability to bend, stoop, and wipe frequently
- Ability to frequently immerse hands in water
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
- Preferred prior experience working with pharmacy or in a dishwashing position
- License as a Pharmacy Technician is desired but NOT required
- Pass drug screen test, background check, pre-employment verification process
- Read, understand and be compliant with HIPAA
- Preferred Licensed Pharmacy Technician with good standing with the Board of Pharmacy
- Proficient in CA pharmacy law pertaining to Pharmacy Technicians
- Working Conditions: standing, walking, sitting, reaching above shoulders, reaching waist level, reaching below knee, climbing, lifting above shoulder up to 20 lbs., and lifting waist level up to 20 lbs.

Valor’s pay band range for this position is $18 to $21 per hour. This salary range may include multiple levels. Your level is based on our assessment of your interview performance and experience, which you can always ask the hiring manager about to understand in more detail. Salary is just one component of Valor’s total compensation package for employees.
