Position Summary

Hudson Headwaters 340B is a for-profit, wholly owned subsidiary of Hudson Headwaters Health Network, based in Glens Falls NY. Hudson Headwaters 340B specializes in the data management of pharmacy transactions as a Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for national clients under the federal 340B pharmacy program; as well as providing auditing, compliance assessments and consultative services. The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for the overall maintenance of a desired level of quality in our services, internal systems, and delivered products, with applied attention to every stage of the process to ensure standards and policies are followed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the Compliance & Quality Manager and Lead to ensure our business processes, services and products comply with quality standards, policies and best practices
  • Verifies proper internal system setup for new clients and contracted pharmacies
  • Reviews the quality assurance processes for new client/pharmacy(s) during and through onboarding
  • Accountable for the completion of on-going monthly quality assurance processes for client pharmacy arrangements
  • Evaluates findings and identifies appropriate corrective action
  • Support in analyzing customer complaints and/or concerns and other compliance-related issues
  • Assist with Medicaid payer identification and client compliance with applicable state laws
  • Collaborates with internal teams to address customer and business partner needs
  • Maintain thorough documentation detailing tasks, projects, issues, and procedures, tracking as needed
  • Detect training opportunities and take actions in accordance with these needs to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • Confidently makes suggestions for improvement to internal processes along with plausible solutions and work toward implementation of appropriate changes
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform the essential functions:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or training
  • Relationship Building: Ability to listen, build rapport and credibility as a strategic partner, with leadership and with functional teams
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to plan shared vision and long-term thinking, imagination and idea generation
  • Innovative Perspective: Aptitude to lead change using positive and collaborative methods, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail: Strong task, quality control and project management skills
  • Skilled: Fluency in technical applications including data analysis and reporting, and demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • 340B program experience a plus, not required
